RBW Ladder: Its halftime!

The Red Bull Wololo qualifying ladder is now underway, drawing strong engagement and largely positive feedback from the competitive Age of Empires II community. The opening days of the ladder have served as a proving ground, with players acclimating to the format, experimenting with civilizations, and feeling out the current meta.
As anticipated, Hera has quickly established himself at the top of the leaderboard with roughly 100 pints ahead. Meanwhile, the meta continues to evolve at a rapid pace. In recent matches, Siege Towers, most notably when paired with Lancers, have begun to emerge as a powerful and increasingly tested strategy. This development follows only months after intense community debate surrounding patrol glitching, underscoring how quickly competitive innovations can reshape high-level play.
As the tournament environment matures, top players are once again pushing the boundaries of available mechanics, often adopting unique strategies until they are addressed or restricted by tournament organizers. Given the growing prominence of Siege Tower play, a similar regulatory discussion may soon be on the horizon.
