The Last Chieftains: New DLC announced

The Age of Empires team has announced a DLC with fresh and new content coming to Age of Empires II today. On February 17, 2026 the community will receive the newest addition to the game, The Last Chieftains.
The new DLC features new game mechanics and units, potentially overthrowing the current meta and opening the gates for more in-depth gameplay in the future. It introduces 3 new civilizations including 3 new unique units and custom technologies and gameplay mechanics.
It will feature the Mapuche, Muisca and Tupi from the South American continent including brand new campaigns. They will instantly be available in ranked play at release.
We have not heard from tournament organizers if the new civilizations will be available on release, as the T90 Titans League will be in the middle of it's regular season when the new DLC is dropped.
