The battle of the goats begins! After the total domination by Liereyy in his match against Sebastian, we are now heading to the last game of the day. Hera and Viper. Both players are unique figures in the Age of Empires II scene, marking years of total reign of both. Will Viper be able to reclaim his old seat, or will Hera still have the option to defend his title as the reigning Red Bull Wololo champion?

Dorothea Quarry

Both players raiding each other, some extra military for Hera. He cleared up Vipers completely early army and took control over Vipers food. Another dead villager and a lot of idle time for Viper. Both players on the way to castle age now, but Viper is behind 5 villagers and goes into a defense with a tower.

Hera aggressively went into the eco with his crossbows, lowering him to 27 villagers after 13 minutes. Thats the usual starting amount. Viper tried to counter it, but defensive towers on Hera's side managed to counter this. Hera is already on double town center with more than 25 eco ahead. After losing his army in Heras base, he called the GG. 1-0 for Hera.

Hengehold

Both players with some initial units but no major aggression. Hera went for full walls into a fast castle at minute 4. Viper roughly a minute behind. Even though both players succeeded with some raids, they are extremely even. Pikes against knights full of monks, but Pikemen were way to strong. Hera losing his army, unfortunately no option to push in. 13 minutes.

Viper now managed to get a small raid in, leading to some eco damage. Both players transitioning into double town center. Same eco, same army amount after 19 minutes. Viper has no walls and is constantly being raided as a result of it. Hera perfectly snipes all the monks constantly. Hera and Viper both wanting to aggressively castle, Hera manages to to finish it in the center and Viper goes for the northern base. After Hera finishes his, he GG's out. 2-0.

Loch Ness

Viper with the early 3 man at arms aggression being trapped by quick walls of Hera. Viper opens up with a water opening compared to Hera going for land only. Fast castle for Viper. Viper is now fully walled with 1 minute earlier in castle age.

Both players transitioned into triple town center at minute 11, but Viper has full control over the water. Viper now goes ahead with an aggressive castle in the middle, straight into the base of Hera. He wasn't prepared at all. Still full water control. Even for both. Hera goes for the imperial age and defensive castle, another aggressive castle by Viper. Viper is nowhere close to transitioning into imperial age.

Trebuchets are now mowing down the aggressive castles and viper currently has not enough opportuntiy to counter them. Viper is 30 eco behind, losing another 20 villagers. 40 eco difference in total. What looked to be an amazing play, unfortunately ended up in no control at all. All 3 aggressive castles gone. Hera is now transitioning into post-imperial at minute 27, extremely early, even without water control. Hera is constantly raiding now totalling to a 46/11 eco k/d for Hera.

Hera is now trying to get access of the water back to be able to finish the game. That gave Viper enough time to balance out again. It is now turning into a post-imperial late game water fight plus aggressive raids. What looked great at the start ended up being a loss for Viper. 3-0 for Hera. Matchpoint. One more match for him to move into the finals against Liereyy tomorrow!

Stonedrift

Viper with early walling and a lost fight in the middle for Viper. Hera started with an opening 4/0 eco k/d and fast castle, Viper is at least a minute behind. He needs a major turnaround to gather enough momentum. His major army got wiped after the early castle and Hera moves in with siege. Viper is still a minute away from castle age.

Viper is now required to pull up an extremely defensive castle in his base to counter Heras aggression, which puts him into a defense position again. Hera is already on two town centers at minute 13. Viper aims for a counter attack, trying to apply at least some pressure to slow Hera down. Hera has all the eco upgrades in, is going for the third town center while Viper is still on one. While it seems even at the moment, Hera does have a clear advantage here.

Tiger Cavalary against Camels are now on the field. Viper adjusted towards double town center, but Hera now leading with 15 villagers already. The game has slowed down quiet a bunch as Hera was preparing for the boom. He is now fully in with 110 villagers and transition to imperial age now. Going for a full boom with an army of 40 camels against 25 tiger cavalary running around. Viper also clicked up to imperial age a minute later.

Viper is 40 eco behind now and a big fight broke out as a result. Upgrades are coming in, but Viper already lost the fight. Momentum has now shifted towards Hera. After a final fight, Viper GG's it. 4-0.
