Day 4 is over! And the matches could not have been greater. The day started off with a match between 2 Age of Empires IV legends. After the official semifinal concluded, we went straight into the Round of 6 for Age of Empires II.

Game 1 was an absolute banger. Hearttt vs. Sebastian took us into a 4-3 head to head match. The loser of this match had to stay home, the winner got one step closer to playing the amazing Royal Albert Hall. On Crownwood, Sebastian managed to stick to a heavy cavalary archer setup, completely defeating Hearttts skirmisher defense. On Vulpine his opponent managed to counter with a more defensive but structured approach, leading to 1-1 start. Loch Ness left a lot of people speechless: Hearttt was behind from the start on, essentially never getting back on track with his military and imperial age did not help him beat the game. Dorothea Quarry was an amazing display of skill, ending the game after only a few minutes with a well-placed CA push. Blue Wells kept both players on the edge, ponds were taken, constant back and forth. At the end, the trebuchets decided. 3-2, matchpoint for Hearttt. While Hengehold looked even at the start, Hearttt managed to take it at the end, leaving us with the decider map - Stonefront. Up until the last second both players tried their best with a bit of early aggression and a traditional push, and after a small stalemate and a lot of back and forth, the game ended up in Sebastians favor. A ticket to the semifinals!

Game 2 looked to be as promising, however the man of the hour did it again. After originally not even qualifying, Viper vs. Yo ended up in his favor with a great 4-2 scoreline. On Stonedrift Yo got surprised by an early drop of Viper, combined with early aggression, leaving Yo no chance but giving him the first map after a successful imperial age transition. On Vulpine we ended up with a traditional opening and imperial age transition, leading to post-imperial fight which went towards Yos favor due to some perfect late-game pushes. Thames went into imperial age as well, but Yo played the map amazingly. Due to his great positioning, he managed to cut off Viper from gold in late game which forced him into a GG, giving a 2-1 lead for Yo. The tides turned after: Crownwood was the fastest game of the tournament. After an all-in in feudal age by Viper with a great display of an early game Siege Workshop from the Berbers, he managed to defeat Yo in just 10:39 ingame time, destroying his momentum. Glacis in return was defensive on both sides initially with a fast castle. Yo decided to go for an extremely expensive hand cannon build, which led to a eco advantage from Viper after just a few minutes, leading to a major boom and build up with more than 50 ecos. After Viper reached imperial, it was GG. 3-2 for Viper. The final map of the series was Dorothea Quarry. Yo decided to aim for a full defense this game, while Viper went aggressive again. He knew CAs may be the way to go, so Yo tried to go for them. Viper knew he had to keep up the aggression, killing his first batch of mass-CA just after a few minutes. After an aggressive early castle from Yo, Viper went into full boom. Both players were constantly raiding each other, but Yo did not manage to keep up. Viper advanced to the semifinals as well!

Both matchups we have seen were phenomenal. They showcased the year-long experience of all the players. Sebastian, as one of the newest and youngest talents of the scene, has now a real shot of making it to the finals. However: His previous match against Liereyy ended up being a 3-1, sometimes one-sided. Is it enough, or will we see 2 Team Vitality players in the finals? More to come on Day 5!
