Hearttt catapults MbL out of the tournament with a 3-0 victory

by Astinox 4 months ago

The second elimination match of the day is in! After a successful win of Sebastian against ACCM, Group A elimination is now on the line. After a close match between Hera and MbL yesterday, it is now up to Hearttt to take the win home.

Vulpine

Both players open up with an early push, Hearttt manages to win the first fight which forces MbL into a defensive tower. Hearttt continues early pressure, but MbL manages to advance to castle age even earlier than Hearttt.

Both players transitioning into double town center. MbL is raiding a lot with his cavalary archers as well as a monk, while strongly defending at home with a perfectly positioned town center.

Both players are still constantly raiding each other with aggression and went to 4 town center transition. Slowly but surely MbL is loosing eco population and goes for an aggressive castle, losing over 15 villagers as the result leading to a 40 villager lead for Hearttt at minute 25, both advancing to the Imperial Age.

As a result of another push by Hearttt, MbL called the GG. 1-0 for him.

Blue Wells

One of the most played maps of the tournament. MbL opens up with an early roman MAA push, but Hearttt has prepared for that. Both players pushing each other bases at the same time. MbL invested alot of gold and food into feudal age, Hearttt is 2 minutes earlier in castle age.

Due to a lot of exposed eco in the back of the base of MbL, he has to move around a lot leading to a double defensive tower for MbL. Hearttt also managed to push off gold income from one of the ponds. MbL barely has an option to go aggressive against Hearttt, almost all aggression is in the danish's player base.

Hearttt is pushing at 3 places at the same time, loosing a lot of villerages in the meantime. 14-0 eco difference for Hearttt, leading to a 10 eco difference in total, while MbL holds a lot of water control on his side. While MbL focuses on naval power he barely has enough options to defend the land portion. MbL managed to take over the water and right after goes for an extremely aggressive castle right into Heartts base, directly countered by Hearttts own castle.

With a casual 11 and a GG he goes out of the game, a clean 2-0 for Hearttt. One more map for Hearttt to secure his slot in the playoffs and MbL may be out.

Hengehold

Both players lost a villager to a boar-scout combo. As a small and open map, this could technically favor MbL's playstyle. Both also aiming for an feudal age fight in the middle. Hearttt went for a quick castle age timing at 7:30 after the initial back and forth, and MbL commits to the feudal updates.

MbL managed to clear up the initial army, however Hearttt is close to castle age resulting in knights really soon. MbL clicked up at 11:00 and he is now under a push of knights and crossbows, but MbL counters with a defensive tower. He lost another 8 villagers in that aggressive push again.

Even with an early second TC, Hearttt managed to get his 2nd TC up as well. Due to the early rushes, there are more than 10 idle villagers around MbL's base plus the 10 eco difference. MbL tried a counter push, but his opponent managed to react fast enough. The game looks like its all in Hearttts hand, as he is continuing his aggressive playstyle. 90% of the game has been played out in MbLs base.

Unfortunately, MbL had no chance. Hearttt clearly takes this match in a 3-0, qualifying for playoffs!
