GamerLegion disbands, leaving Age of Empires

A big hit for the Age of Empires II competitive scene with the start of the new year!
GamerLegion has just announced that they will be retiring their AoE efforts after five years.
Our jouney in AoE was driven purely by passion and a strong belief in the potential of the scene
Their departure is a huge loss for the overall scene. It did not come by surprise: The community was already expecting things to go south, after players regulary hinted issues within the organization as well as the final cancellation of their high tier LAN event in December 2025.
However, GamerLegion was a cornerstone of the community for a long time. Regulary produced content, tournaments as well as streams helped shaping the future of the competitive landscape.
That also means, that DauT and TheViper as the remaining players are now left without an organization.
